Earth N' Cream

Life on Earth can be delicious as ice cream, but the planet is melting in our hands. It is time to face that we must deal with the Global Syndemic, a combination of three pandemics: obesity, undernutrition, and climate change. Eating wisely can save the Earth. This story will show you why and how.

Hazel decides to tell her nightmare to Doctor Sylvia, her psychologist.

“I had that same nightmare again... I was eating ice cream and suddenly the ice cream becomes the Earth. The planet starts to melt in my hands. Then, me, my family, plus everything around us drown in it. It is so scary! I felt so guilty. Do you believe there is an explanation or a reason behind this nightmare, Dr. Sylvia?"

Goto first page
"Hazel, you need to evaluate the reasons behind this nightmare. Can you imagine why you are always having this bad dream?"
Goto first page
"Yes, Doctor... I already know why this nightmare has been disturbing me. I believe it is a call to action to do something in favor of the Earth, after everything I have been reading and watching every now and then. I  believe you will agree with me if I show you. Can I? I truly need your opinion."

"You already know me, Doctor… after watching this video, I started to search for scientific data like crazy. I've searched in academic databases; I've read several newspapers; I've looked for information provided by specialists in environmental and food issues in all the credible sources I could."

"After this research, I discovered the world faces a syndemic, and the global food system has been contributing to it. I feel that, as I work in the food market, I must do something. This other video explains everything."

"It is really astonishing, Hazel. I have never looked at food from this point of view, and I feel I need to change some of my eating habits... Well, Hazel, I think that you have already achieved something!"

"You gave me an idea, Doctor! Besides changing my food habits, I will propose some actions at the company I work for. I will propose we prioritize only local and seasonal products in our portfolio. I will also suggest a social campaign to promote sustainable and healthy food habits."

"And if we used our own experiences to illustrate this campaign? We can think of something we can easily do in our daily lives, and share our testimonials at the points of purchase, via posters, and on social media also. What do you think?"
